Financial Advisor

I was first introduced to Waddell & Reed as a client in 2001. I was impressed with the planning process and services, so in November of 2007 I became a Financial Advisor. Since then I have continually been impressed with the culture of this company.

I grew up in the Mid-West in the four state regions of AR, KS, MO, and OK. My academic background is:

Southern Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, AR Associates of Arts
School of the Ozarks, Branson, MO Bachelor of Science
Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS Masters Degree
While attending college, I enlisted in the Army National Guard and spent the next 24 years making it a second career as a Citizen Solider, both in the Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves. I served in all ranks as Enlisted, Non-Commission officer and as a Commissioned Officer. I retired at the rank of Major. I worked for 19 years for the State of Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities as Support Coordinator doing social work. I did planning on a multi-dimensional level as an advocate for children and adults with special needs. I headed up teams of professionals from numerous disciplines, coordinating all services through a planning process.

I have been married to my wife Belinda for 28 beautiful years and we have two children. Our son Joshua and our daughter Katherine. Joshua has been working with me in my practice for the last 8 years. Belinda also works in our practice since her retirement from aviation education. Katherine also works in our practice while she is attending college seeking a career in aviation. We round out our family with two Cocker Spaniels Misty and Rocky. We are a Veteran owned and operated family business.

In my professional and personal experience having done over 450 Financial Plans in my career, I believe that Financial Planning is the “Tip of the Spear” to a successful Financial Life.
